Simulation of RNA Structure and Dynamics
The solution structure of RNA encompasses a multitude of sequence- and environment-dependent conformations. The dynamic equilibrium of these states is crucial to their biological function. Examples will be given to illustrate (i) how a mismatch incorporated in a duplex affects time-scales of base opening motions, (ii) how simulated loop structures match up to measured NMR parameters, and (iii) how external petrurbations influence the structure of an RNA junction.
