Footnotes
An important component of the Albany Conversation agenda is to show case extraordinarily talented young scientists at the level of doctoral students and starting faculty; you will notice that their short orals are sand witched between lectures by very senior scientists. I ask all of you to support these young warriors in the discipline.

The time allocated to each speaker includes the time for discussion. It is up to the speaker to decide on the time for discussion. We suggest about 2 minutes. In the case of short 10 minute orals by young investigators, the discussion is supposed to take place at the poster stations because they are required to present the same material in detail as poster.

In Albany all posters are mounted on June 16th, and remain in their stations throughout the deliberations until Friday June 19th evening. They should be removed by Saturday noon. Different sets of posters are formally presented at the 6 different poster presentation events.

Each evening, some party and social gatherings take place. All participants are invited. Just walk in. Bring with you any musical instrumnets that you are good at.
