Young Scientists Speaker Program

Depending on from which country you are coming from, there could be considerable delay in obtaining a US VIsa. For example students and scientists from India, Russia and FSU countries report delays of a few months. In the past, there were several instances in which the VISAs were granted after the Conversation. So we suggest that people who may fall potentially in this category submit their abstracts as immediately as possible so that they can receive their formal invitations from us, and start processing their Visa applications as early as possible.

The abstracts of Albany 2011: The Seventeenth Conversation will appear in the June 2011 issue of the J Biomol Struct Dyn It will also appear, within 48 hrs of submission, at the Book of Abstracts section of the 17th Conversation web site. The abstract must not exceed one printed page in the Journal, including essential references, and must contain phone, fax and email numbers, in addition to complete postal address. Here is an example of a properly prepared abstract with a color diagram and references:

Examples of abstracts already submitted for the 17th Conversation appear at:

Book of Abstracts: 17th Conversation

Prepare your abstract like the sample above in msword.doc file and email to Prof. sarma (rhs07@albany.edu). If your abstract contains diagrams (color or black & white), please include them within the MS word document, i.e., send a single MS word file with diagrams. If you have color picture, it will appear in color only in the web version. If your abstract has a list of references, please follow the format shown in the examples; do not hyperlink the reference numbers in the text to the listed references or to the URL of the reference.

All abstracts received are read and thoroughly evaluated. Many of hem will undergo some editorial changes to conform to the Journal format, style and mission when posted at the web site and published in the Journal. We would like to have some resonance between the abstracts and what we do here at JBSD and these continuing Conversations. We request the scientists from East European Nations not to use the accents endemic to their language in making the abstract. These accents are very difficult to reproduce at the web. Further, they are lost in the email attachments. Please do not use them.

We are unable to process abstracts received on paper, either typed or faxed.
